SkyBridge is a nonprofit Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor building a distributed advanced training network — connecting employers, apprentices, and workforce partners across multiple states.
U.S. DOL Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor · Launched in Anchorage, Alaska · Expanding Nationally
The SkyBridge Model
Every apprentice trains at an actual employer worksite — not a classroom simulation. Skills are built on the job, verified by competency, and recognized nationally. Training sites, post-apprenticeship employers, and workforce partners span multiple states.
Stop chasing workers. Start building them.
Structured apprenticeship turns your worksite into a talent pipeline — on your schedule, your standards, backed by a national sponsor.
Competency-based milestones mean you always know where your apprentice stands — and what they have proven they can do.
Participation may be supported through employer contributions, workforce grants, and federal funding streams. Subject to eligibility and availability.
Training that proves what workers can do.
Apprentices earn credentials backed by on-the-job hours, related instruction, and verified competency — not just attendance.
The SkyBridge Group Inc. is a nonprofit workforce-development organization and U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor building structured career pathways in phases. Programs are developed in partnership with qualified employers, funding sources, and regulatory bodies — and launched only when all readiness conditions are met.
Food Service & Hospitality
DOL-registered apprenticeship pathway. Structured on-the-job training for restaurants, cafés, hotels, institutional kitchens, and community foodservice operations. 2,000 hours OJT · 144 hours RTI · Nationally recognized credential.
Program Development Disclaimer: Future pathways are launched only after employer training-site readiness, funding confirmation, supervision capacity, legal review, insurance and licensing clearance, and apprenticeship registration where required have been established. Listing a pathway as "In Development" or "Future Build Phase" does not imply DOL registration, employer commitment, or program approval. Pathways marked "Restricted / Legal Review Required" will not proceed without satisfactory completion of applicable regulatory and legal review. Build Workers. Strengthen Industries. Change Lives.
SkyBridge is building a multi-state network of employer training sites, post-apprenticeship employer partners, and workforce affiliates. Alaska is the launch base. The network is designed to expand nationally as employer agreements, funding, and program registrations are confirmed.
Qualified employers host apprentices on active worksites. Training sites are onboarded through a structured agreement process and must meet SkyBridge standards for supervision, safety, and competency delivery.
Employers who commit to hiring program completers into full-time roles. Post-apprenticeship partnerships are subject to separate agreement and employer readiness review.
Job Corps centers, workforce development agencies, reentry programs, veteran-serving organizations, and community affiliates who refer and support apprentice candidates.
Federal, state, and philanthropic funding sources that may support employer participation, apprentice wages, and program operations. Subject to eligibility and award.
Network expansion is subject to employer agreement execution, funding availability, and applicable regulatory approvals. Additional training sites, employer partners, and affiliates will be added as agreements are signed.
SkyBridge is actively developing relationships with employers across multiple industries and states. The following reflects current and projected partner categories. All partnerships are subject to formal agreement execution.
Security & Protective Services
Protos Security is SkyBridge's first national security employer partner. Protos operates across multiple states and is engaged as a post-apprenticeship employer partner for the Protective Services pathway.
Workforce Mobilization & Placement
Projected multi-state partner for workforce mobilization, candidate referral, and placement support. Partnership subject to agreement execution.
Hospitality, Culinary, Logistics & Guest Services
Major cruise line operators are a target partner category for hospitality, culinary, logistics, guest services, security, maintenance, transportation, and administrative apprenticeship pathways. No agreements have been executed. Outreach and development are in progress.
Partner listings reflect current, projected, and target categories only. Projected and target partnerships have not been finalized. No partnership implies guaranteed employment, program approval, or funding commitment. Additional partners will be listed as agreements are signed.
SkyBridge is developing referral and co-enrollment pathways with Job Corps centers and public workforce development systems. These partnerships are intended to connect program-ready candidates with SkyBridge apprenticeship pathways and employer training sites.
Workforce system partnerships are subject to formal agreement execution and applicable program eligibility requirements. Listing a partnership as in development does not imply active enrollment, funding, or program approval.
Housing & Relocation Support
For apprenticeship pathways that require relocation — including national employer placements with cruise lines, remote Alaska worksites, and multi-state training sites — SkyBridge is developing housing and relocation support resources where available. Support may include referrals to employer-provided housing, transitional housing partners, and relocation assistance programs.
Housing and relocation support is not guaranteed and is subject to employer availability, funding, and program eligibility. SkyBridge does not directly provide housing. Resources will be listed as they are confirmed.
Employer participation in SkyBridge apprenticeship programs may be supported through a range of funding mechanisms, subject to eligibility and availability.
Federal apprenticeship expansion grants — where applicable
State workforce development funding — subject to state eligibility
Employer tax credits for registered apprenticeship — varies by state
Philanthropic and foundation grants — subject to award
Industry association and sector partnership funding — in development
Funding availability is not guaranteed. Employers and apprentices should consult with SkyBridge and applicable agencies to determine eligibility. SkyBridge does not guarantee funding, tax credits, or grant awards.
